about the saxatones
The Georgetown University Saxatones are the newest co-ed a cappella group on Georgetown's campus. Originally founded as an oldies group, the Saxatones have expanded their repertoire to include everything from Motown to Michael Jackson, Alanis Morrissette to Annie Lennox, and Timbaland to Taylor Swift. Created with the purpose of serving the surrounding community through service and music, the Saxatones are proud to have been associated with the following service partners: Hoyathon Dance Marathon, Georgetown Best Buddies Program, Students Taking Action Now: Darfur (S.T.A.N.D.), and Walk for the Homeless Walkathon.
The members for the fall semester of 2010 are: Caroline Holkeboer (President), Ryan Fuchs (Music Director), Andrew Levine, Virginia Vassar, Kelly McKenzie, Patrick Foust, Dani Japhet, Ryan Lundquist, Betsy Helmer, and Ali Smith.

Most Embarrassing Moment at Georgetown: In a boring lecture of about 50 kids, I turned on my computer and began to play a game of chess. Little did I know, the volume was on, so in the middle of the teacher's lecture, my computer yells at full volume, "Knight to E5!" The teacher and the class stared at me for a good minute before he continued.
